Raley's is all about nourishing its customers. Without the right messaging and creative brand strategy, they could just be another grocery chain. I've had the opportunity to deploy a new website and write mountains of copy for digital and print to help the Raley's brand flourish.

Project Details
Raley’s Website
This website was a project years in the making, meant to transform Raley’s online brand identity and give the ecommerce team full control of UX and creative. It represents a major jump in technical sophistication. The new website is the basis of all emerging campaigns and enables Raley’s to tell a cohesive brand story crafted by the marketing team.
Here’s what I contributed:
- Wrote copy for homepage and ecomm graphics.
- Collaborated with web design team to determine page layout and UX.
- Developed landing pages using Bloomreach.
Raley’s App
The branding extends to the Raley’s app - an all-new platform, developed in tandem with the new website, that makes it easier to shop and save. Again, this app enabled in-house creative to supercharge the brand. The app and website result in a seamless UX.

- Wrote copy for app graphics.
- Collaborated with web design team to determine app layout and UX.
- Developed app pages using Bloomreach.
- Created wireframe layout for new Something Extra Rewards dashboard.
Email Copywriting & Development
I write copy for email headlines, preheaders, subject lines, and email snipes. Copy and branding remains seamless across all touchpoints. You’ll find Raley’s shouting about holiday meals here, too.
I also develop, test, and send emails using Salesforce. This email is part of the Something Extra loyalty program and reaches over 1 million inboxes each week.
Push Notifications
Customers get savings at their fingertips - I know because I write the push notifications.
Weekly Ad
Raley’s Weekly Ad drops in-store, in mailboxes, and online every Wednesday. I’m there to provide headline copy that showcases the sale items featured for the week.
Radio Ads
Raley’s is a major retailer in northern California and Nevada, but it can’t compete with the Safeway’s of the world without terrestrial radio. I’ve had the chance to write and produce radio advertisments, directing the script recording session with Raley’s voice talent and trafficking audio files to paid media partners.
